Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

West Lebanon -- John William Hoskins, age 90, a retired farmer of the Pence and Marshfield areas, died Monday morning, June 3, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Mary Miller of Danville, Ill., Rt.1, where he had been making his home. He had been ill two years. Born in Minnesota Nov. 22, 1872, he was a son of Ezrah and Lecria Fugate Hoskins. He was married Sept. 7, 1893, in Danville to Arrilla Moss who preceded him in death several years ago. Survivors include, three sons, Marley of West Lebanon, Frank of Pence and Aaron of Kingsberry, and two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Pickrell of Hegeler, Ill., and Mrs. Miller. The body is at the Crowmer-Siddens Funeral Home in West Lebanon where friends will be received after 2 p.m. today, Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pence Methodist Church with the Rev. Everett White officiating. Burial will be in the Jordan Cemetery at Pence.  --typed by Walt W
